Enrichment Opportunities for Students: Yale Splash & Links to Legacy

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are pleased to share two outstanding enrichment opportunities available to our students this year. While these programs are not sponsored by Babylon UFSD, they may be of interest to families looking for unique educational experiences outside of school.
Yale Splash (Grades 7-12)
Saturday, October 10, 2026Yale University Campus | 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Yale Splash gives students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to spend a day on the Yale campus taking classes taught by Yale students. Course offerings cover a wide variety of topics, including personal finance, science, technology, history, popular culture, and more.
Registration opens September 15, 2026.
Cost: $25 per student (optional $10 T-shirt)

Links to Legacy (Grades 10-12)
The Links to Legacy program through the Suffolk Y JCC provides high school students with a unique opportunity to connect with Holocaust survivors and help preserve their stories through the creation of a documentary film. Students will deepen their understanding of Holocaust history while exploring ways to combat antisemitism and hatred in today's world. The program culminates in a community film premiere in April 2027. Applications are open to students in grades 10-12.Applications are due September 14, 2026. Space is limited, and selected applicants will participate in an interview process.
