Class of 2026 EOY Information

Hello Panthers!

Dear Seniors and Senior Parents,

As we move into the final stretch of the school year, we want to share important upcoming dates and required events for the Class of 2026, including our mandatory pre‑prom meeting and a review of end‑of‑year senior activities. Please read carefully and mark your calendars.

Mandatory Pre‑Prom Parent–Student Meeting
All seniors and at least one parent or guardian must attend the Pre‑Prom Parent–Student Meeting on Wednesday, May 6 at 7:00 PM in the BHS Rowe Hall. Attendance by both the student and a parent or guardian is required in order for a senior to attend prom.

During this meeting, we will be joined by a representative from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, who will present a 30‑minute portion of their Choices and Consequences program. This presentation is designed for both students and parents to hear together and will focus on making safe decisions during this milestone time of year.

The Choices and Consequences program is led by Assistant District Attorneys from the Vehicular Crime Bureau and addresses real‑world issues that impact teens and young adults. Topics include teen driver safety, the dangers of impaired driving, and the serious risks of distracted driving such as texting or phone use behind the wheel. Motor vehicle crashes remain the number one cause of death for young people ages 15 to 24, and this program aims to raise awareness and promote responsible decision‑making.

Following the presentation, the Senior Prom Parent Meeting will continue with important information about all remaining senior events. We will review expectations and logistics for pre‑prom, prom, Senior Day, Senior Awards, and Graduation, as well as answer frequently asked questions.

Choices and Consequences Student Assemblies
On Thursday, May 7, all students in grades 11 and 12 will participate in the Choices and Consequences assembly during periods 2 and 3. This school‑day presentation reinforces many of the same themes discussed during the parent‑student meeting and supports our shared goal of keeping students safe.

Prom Tickets
Prom tickets will be available for purchase at the May 6 meeting at a one‑night discounted rate of $65 per ticket, cash or check only. Additional ticket sale dates and prices are listed on the attached flyer.

These events mark an exciting and important time for our seniors. We appreciate your partnership and support in helping ensure that the end of the year is both memorable and safe for everyone in the Class of 2026.
