Subject: SEL Day & Grit ‘N Wit Tomorrow!

Posted Date: 4/10/25 (3:53 PM)

Dear Students, Families, and Staff,

Just a friendly and enthusiastic reminder that tomorrow is SEL Day and Grit ‘N Wit at BHS!

Our students and staff have been working hard and showing such incredible energy and creativity as they’ve prepared for this special day dedicated to Social Emotional Learning (SEL) — building self-awareness, resilience, teamwork, and empathy.

We’re also excited to bring back Grit ‘N Wit, our fun and challenging obstacle course that blends brain power and physical fitness. Students have been buzzing with excitement and are hoping we can run the course outdoors. The weather forecast is uncertain, so we’ll make the final call in the morning — either outside or indoors — but rest assured, the fun will go on!

📌 Important Reminders for Students:

  • Wear comfortable, athletic clothing
  • Bring or wear sneakers
  • Pack a change of clothes, just in case!
Attached to this email, you’ll find:
  • The Grit ‘N Wit waiver form (please sign and return ASAP if you haven’t already)
  • A flyer for an amazing upcoming SEL opportunity:
EmpowHER! A Mental Health and Well-Being Conference for Young Women in Grades 7–12

As we head into Spring Recess, let’s celebrate the energy, compassion, and teamwork that make our BHS community so strong.
