Hana Lepore

  • This course is for Alternately Assessed students and will focus on functional academics and vocational training.  This course will be Graded Pass/Fail.

  • Course Description/Topics Covered:

    The Topics covered will range from Ancient Civillization to the Age of Discovery.  There will be an emphacis on critical thinking, reading, writing, map/graph interpretation and analysis of historical documents.  This course will culminate in a Final Exam.

    Grading Policy:

    Major Assignments (Tests/Quizzes):60%

    Minor Assignments (participation/homework): 40%

    Homework Policy:

    Students will have a unit homework packet. There is a unit calendar

    handed out at the beginning of each unit with a specific homework

    due date. Homework will not be accepted after the unit test. Each

    day its late, the student will lose 10% off their homework

    assignment.

  • Course Description/Topics Covered:

    Class purpose: Students will learn about American History from how Native Americans settled in North America through the American Civil War. Students will focus on map skills, political cartoons and geography skills.

     

    Grading Policy:

    Tests: 50%

    Participation:30%

    Homework: 20%

     

    Homework Policy:

    It is expected as middle schoolers, that each student will receive

    homework and will have it completed to the best of their ability.
